Blue Air: Blow Moulding

Cooling the product is the longest and most critical part of the solidification process. The fact that the mould only removes heat from the outside surface of the container causes material stress and extended cooling time in the mould.
The Compressed Air Chiller (CAC) replaces the regular air with chilled compressed air (-35C/31F) inside during the blow moulding process.
Result: heat is removed from the inner surface of the container reducing material stress and cutting cooling time up to 50%.
The internal cooling system with compressed air has been developed for specific and intensive heat removal from inside of the blow moulded products.
Units are availible in 6 standard sizes with a process air volume from 120 Nm3/hour to up to 720Nm3/h [70 cfm to 420 cfm] and compressed air outlet tempreature of -35C/31F.
Special designed and tailor made blow moulding pins blow the chilled air evenly to critical parts of the product and guarantee optimal exchange of chilled air. The blowing valve block is used to control the blowing process and available for every type of blowing process.
